Offerings
2010 Offering: Peacemakers Project
As an outworking of Spring Harvest’s 2010 theme – Different Eyes – we're planning to use the 2010 offerings to give to initiatives working to make peace in Christ’s name around the world. Our goal is to raise as large an offering as possible; a significant proportion of which will be distributed to innovative projects, run by local churches and Christian agencies, bringing peace to troubled families, communities and countries both here in the UK and internationally.
For example, these might include groups working with:
- Troubled and broken families
- Victims and survivors of domestic violence
- Gang culture and the problems of violence, guns and knife crime
- Cross-community reconciliation programmes
- The survivors of civil war
- International peace projects

2009 Offering: The Next Generation
The generous giving of guests at the Spring Harvest event this year is going to carefully chosen projects working with The Next Generation.
It's becoming harder and harder for young people and children to hear the message of God's love. This year your gifts supported a number of different projects based in the UK and abroad, which will be working towards:
- Discipling young people
- Helping children understand the story of faith
- Training a new generation of leaders
"We will tell the next
generation the praiseworthy
deeds of the Lord, his power and
the wonders he
has done". Psalm 78:4
Some of the projects supported include:
-
Provision of creative material
for UK secondary
schools showing the relevance of the Bible today - Schools presentation to teach young people understand everyone has worth through our Creator God
- Giving children in Egypt confidence in the truth of the Bible
- Equipping young Christians who are confident in their calling to become leaders both in UK and other countries
- Youth work in UK and overseas including Youthwork the Conference held in the autumn to train and inspire youth workers
- Encouraging students to grow in their faith and reach their colleagues
In addition to these projects, some of the money raised this year
will go to help people on low incomes come to Spring Harvest next
year.
As well as the main adult offering, the children and young people also contribute to their own offering projects, which helps them see on how even their small gift can have real impact on other children and families in need.
