40 Days of Prayer: Week Two

Thursday 7th March: Prayer for healing for the sick 

‘And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.’ James 5:15

Friday 8th March: Confession

Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.’ James 5:16

Saturday 9th March: Children and youth

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.’ 1 Timothy 4:12

ACTION: Where is the school in your community?  Where is the closest school? If you don’t know, find out. Pray for the children in that school.  It doesn’t matter that you don’t know their specific needs. God does. However, your prayers can make a difference in their learning, their development and their lives in general.

 

Sunday 10th March: Practice God’s presence

Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.’ Psalm 51:11

Monday 11th March: Adoration

Wednesday 13th March: Listening in prayer

ACTION: Take 10 minutes to sit with God in silence.  Don’t speak. Ask God what he wants to say to you and then wait patiently.
