As a member of a small team, you will put together and deliver an activity programme for guests of all ages and abilities. Ideally you will have coaching or teaching experience and be able to facilitate sports activities safely.
The role includes using the medium of sport to share your faith and encourage membership of the Christian community.

Role Description
WHAT YOU COULD BE DOING:
Delivering coaching sessions including 5-a-side football, netball, basketball and other sports.
Organising and overseeing tournaments.
Liaising with the SH Stand team.
Providing fitness-focussed activities for all abilities
Running sports workshops within the youth and kid’s programmes.
Be involved with the delivery of a seminar on, for example, ‘helping churches use sports to engage with their community’ or others sports-related subjects.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Bags of energy and enthusiasm – even at the 7am Family Fitness activity!
The ability to recognise different skills levels and encourage all to take part.
Adaptability to ensure that everyone has a great time in a safe environment.
Coaching or teaching experience – any sport, any age.
A current Spring Harvest Enhanced DBS certificate – details will be sent to you on how to apply.
VOLUNTEERS MUST BE:
Over 18 years of age.
Able to work with all members of the family – young or old, fit or otherwise!
Able to cope in case of injuries or accidents. Basic First Aid experience would be a bonus (but not essential).
