With the same great teaching, worship, kids and youth programmes as all other Spring Harvest events, Harrogate is significant because it brings Spring Harvest to the North of England, while also making it far more accessible geographically for people from Scotland and Ireland.
In between the spiritual programme there will be lots of fun activities each and every day, as well as opportunities to meet people and socialise at the exhibition and retail areas.

“Thank you for a great week…We found [it] refreshing and inspiring and everything worked well for us. I enjoyed the challenging outward looking preaching. Having a reflection time in the evening meetings to consider the questions ‘what is God saying?’ and ‘what will I do about it?’ was helpful. The visit of Hea Woo was particularly powerful and such a privilege to be able to hear her story. It was also good to have the input of Mercy Ships.
The all-age with Nick and Becky was good and the Big Questions Talks by Andy Bannister were brilliant and really helpful.
All in all I found it the best Spring Harvest I have been to and came back feeling more refreshed, enthusiastic and inspired than I have for years.
Looking forward to next year – and hopefully inspiring some of our congregation to come. A huge thank you for all the prayer, planning and organising that goes into the event.”

We have many areas and responsibilities to that need to be taken into consideration to bring Spring Harvest to Harrogate. The following statement has been released:
The Essential Christian Board and Trustees are currently reviewing the viability of Spring Harvest Harrogate beyond the 2019 event, which begins on 13th April.
The Essential Christian team has been closely watching the bookings and is not yet in a position to confirm that the event will take place in Harrogate in 2020.
This decision does not in any way affect our other two Spring Harvest breaks at Minehead and Skegness. Dates have been agreed and planning is progressing well for these 2020 events.
”Despite our best efforts in promoting the event, demand remains much lower than we had hoped. It comes down to financial constraints and our need to be good stewards of Spring Harvest and for the future of the Essential Christian charity.” commented CEO Peter Martin.
A final decision will be made once the booking figures are clear.
Spring Harvest 2019 in Harrogate is going ahead with a full range of activities. Over 1,000 people are expected to attend. The main Bible teaching sessions will be delivered by Rev. Malcolm Duncan; leading worship is Sam Blake with the Elim Sound band. A full children’s and youth programme is also on offer.
