Spring Harvest 2024: Up and Alive: living the life we are made for. We’d love you to join us to explore the call to glorious living in Ephesians.

You, exclusively, can book while you’re here! The Holiday Booking Shop is open from 1pm on Wednesday 12th April. Wider booking will open 14 June 2023.

Ephesians encourages us to ‘live a life worthy of the calling you have received.’ Exploring this short book in more depth we’ll be encouraged to Look up and find a bigger picture of our awesome God, which will help us Wake Up from darkness to light and from death to new life in Christ. We’ll discover how we should Dress Up in what is pure and in God’s armour, so that we can Stand Up for Jesus, holding our ground as we make him known. Then together we will be able to Rise Up again and again, knowing who we are and how we are called to live this glorious God-given life.

Theme

Our theme is explored across the site and throughout the week. God’s Kingdom is not an empire where the strong get stronger and the weak are left behind. God’s Kingdom is one where justice matters, where the weak are given strength, where the poor are enriched, where the forgotten are remembered, and the unnoticed are seen. It’s an upside-down kingdom that is rooted in grace, mercy and forgiveness and where the lonely are set amongst families, the orphans are cared for and the widows are comforted and held.

This year’s theme is Flipped: Life in the Upside-down Kingdom. We will unpack the Kingdom of God in the Gospel of Matthew and be reminded what it means to be Kingdom People, and we will be inspired and envisioned as we think about Kingdom Principles, Kingdom Purpose and Kingdom Hope. May God meet with you through the week and may you leave with a fresh sense of passion for Christ – the King of the Kingdom.

Shape of the Day

You’re on holiday! The day can take whatever shape suits you and there’s plenty to explore off-resort if you prefer. We have content starting at 8am – sport, communion or prayer walk. You can join Big Start at 9am, or the young adults gathering. Then there is a variety of sessions for all ages from 10am through to lunchtime. There are one or two lunchtime gatherings followed by matinees, workshops and seminars in the afternoons. There really is something for everyone with lots to choose from.

Don’t forget to browse the bookshop and exhibition in the Skyline. The Butlins facilities like the swimming pool and fairground are open. There’s a break for dinner before evening celebrations start at 6pm with All-Age, followed by other choices. The day is rounded off with After Hours entertainment and more worship or other gatherings until late. You can pack your day in any way! Most of all we hope we’ll have made space for you to encounter God.

Young Adults

Phil Knox and Damilola Makinde are the young adult pastors with us this week to support you. Meet them each morning at 9.00am in Inn on the Green (you can bring your breakfast). Connect with others, make plans and discuss the week’s teaching. We recommend the 11.45am Bible Teaching with Rachel Gardner in Studio 36 and The Pursuit celebration at 8.00pm in Centre Stage. There’s also a lunch gathering (bring or buy your own) on Wednesday in the Skyline Venue.

Bible Teaching and morning programme

As a new option for retreat, on Wednesday morning, the pool will be open for adults and those with little ones. There is also a new Creative Studio space as a drop-in open for all ages. Don’t forget the Prayerhouse is open for quiet reflection or guided content.

Bible Teaching

There are two consecutive (and equally brilliant) Bible teaching sessions each morning. Thinking it Through and Working it Out. Choose one or both!

A Journey Through the Beatitudes with Home for Good

In-depth and engaging sessions unpacking The Beatitudes. What is ‘blessed’, who is blessed and what is the Kingdom of God?

Seven Questions Every Child Will Ask with Care for the Family

Invaluable parenting guidance and support with sessions on Foundations, Security and Meaning.

Emotional Wellbeing Stream

“More than anything you guard, protect your mind, for life flows from it.” (Prov 4:23) But in times when we are more aware of the challenges to our mental health than ever, how do we protect our own minds, and also support those we love and lead to live well in spite of the pressures all around? This stream will combine wisdom from psychology, neuroscience and medicine with the ancient wisdom of the Bible to offer reassurance, inspiration and practical advice for emotional wellbeing in the 21st century world.

The Church Growth Stream with the Centre for Church Multiplication.

Sessions include; Can Anyone Start a New Church?; The Gospel Still Works; and Simple Church. Be inspired and equipped to help the UK church grow, and hear stories of where and how it is working.

Alpha

Every day we ask so many questions, “What shall I wear”, “What’s the weather going to be like?” “How am I going to fit everything in?”You may even be asking yourself, “Why did I come to Spring Harvest?” Then there are those bigger questions like, “Why am I here?” “Where am I heading?” Alpha is for everyone, regardless of where you are on your journey. You can be yourself, bring your curiosity and ask. Join in each morning and explore the historical evidence of who Jesus is and how the Holy Spirit fits into picture, as together we ask, “Is there more to life than this?”
