The Nights Are Darker, Let the Light of Jesus Shine Brighter

It’s that time of year where the clock have gone back and it can feel like we’re getting up to go to work in the dark, we’re getting back from work in the dark, and it can feel really heavy sometimes.

But let us remind you of something that can give you strength in this season - God’s light is not affected by the season.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” - John 1:5 (NLT)

That means no matter how dark it gets outside, and inside, God’s light doesn’t flicker. It doesn’t fade from us. It is present for us all the time, and it brings life to us.

And as his light fills us, we can carry that light into the world as the light of the world. We get to bring light to those who are also experiencing the darkness we are dreading.

So in this season, lean into God’s presence. Let his light fill you and shine through you.
