Wristband

Your wristband will give you access to all of the Spring Harvest programme. Writing your mobile number on your loved-one’s wristband is a quick and effective way to help us reunite anyone who gets lost. It’s particularly important for children and those more likely to need help when separated from their group. They are quite robust but if you need to change yours take the old one to the My Spring Harvest stand in the Skyline for a replacement.

Take care

There may be people who take advantage of the high level of trust at Spring Harvest. Do not leave items unsecured and unattended. Please exercise the same care of your children as you would at home. If you lose a child please speak to one of our stewards or someone at the My Spring Harvest Stand. Guests under the age of 14 may not leave the resort unless accompanied by an adult. Spring Harvest do not take responsibility for young people who leave any of the youth venues during a session. This includes The Base.

Kindness

Spring Harvest happens thanks to hundreds of volunteers. Please appreciate their efforts as they give their time and energy to serve God in this way.

Accessibility

All venues are wheelchair accessible and have a hearing loop. There are designated areas where you will have a clear view. Our Disability Consultant and the Stewards will be happy to help you.

Speech-to-text and BSL is provided in Studio 36. BSL is available by request in other venues as the team are able.

We offer large print and braille songwords on request. Please call our office on 01825 705220, if these would be useful and you've not told us already.

If you will need assistance to leave a venue in an emergency please tell a steward when you arrive at each session.

If you are a blue badge holder and need a parking permit for the resort, this can be put into your arrival pack if you call the Butlins Special Needs Team in advance 0330 100 9732.

Prayer and Pastoral Support

The Prayerhouse will be open Tuesday-Thursday in The Chapel. A prayer walk will leave there at 8am on each of those days if you would like to join.

If you would like to talk or pray with someone, the pastoral team would love to help. Visit our team of experienced volunteers in the Pastoral Centre at Pacific Wharf C7 to make an appointment. The Pastoral Centre is open 10.00am to 4.00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and 9.30am-11.30am on Friday. The Team will also be available each evening after The Gathering and The Pursuit celebrations for prayer ministry – look for those wearing a prayer badge.

Watching sessions remotely

We’re excited to share that this year the evening celebrations are being streamed to TVs in UK prison cells! We are also livestreaming Studio 36 to people all over the country (and further afield) as Spring Harvest Home. This will be relayed to Inn on the Green in the mornings and evenings, and the Nursery in the evenings. You may also be able to see this feed on your chalet TV (not in caravans). It is usually between channels 800-810 and re-tuning your TV may help. You could try starting at BBC1 and scrolling back through channels to DTV1, 2, 3 or 4. If you cannot access the channel, come and find us at the My Spring Harvest stand in the Skyline and we can help you to find a solution. In addition to all this, there is a ‘digital seminar venue’ with a selection of teaching you can watch and share at any time. Head to youtube.com/springharvest and select the Playlist called Digital Seminar Venue – Spring Harvest 2023.

Missed something?

So much to do! Don’t forget the talks are all recorded. They will be available via the EC-Go subscription service which offers years of Spring Harvest content from both resorts, and more. It’s usually £65 annually, but the event offer is just £30 for the year. Alternatively, you can order a USB stick of all the talks from one resort for £35 at the My Spring Harvest stand. You can also check out the helpful resources in the bookshop and the Exhibition in the Skyline.

Technical comfort

Some venues may use water-vapour mist, lighting effects and loud music. Sound levels are monitored at all times. If you are uncomfortable, please first try moving to a different part of the venue.

Photography Policy

Spring Harvest and agencies authorised by us will take photographs and make recordings during the event, which may lead to your image or voice being on albums, publicity material, website, television and radio broadcasts. This may include circulation outside the UK. Videos are made of meetings in larger venues which may include some brief shots of guests.

Please come to the Spring Harvest Team Office early in the week if you would prefer not to be included in any photographs and recordings. Please tell the Programme Leader if you DO NOT want your child to be included in photographs. Unauthorised photography or filming (including a mobile phone used for this purpose) of any children whilst they are taking part in programme activities, is not permitted.

Cash and Wifi

Cashback is available at some shops. The cash machines charge per transaction.

Butlins offer 300MB of data a day free for general browsing, or you can purchase Premium Wi-Fi for 20GB per day. Both options allow for up to 4 devices per account and Premium Wi-Fi can only be purchased on resort through your device.

Each year we take an offering at Spring Harvest. This money creates the ‘Everyone In’ Fund and supports the work of Spring Harvest through its parent charity, Essential Christian. Our key aim is to make space for everyone to encounter God, to be inspired with confident faith and to see transformation in lives and communities by the power of Jesus. To do this, we focus on creating events and resources that are accessible to all and reach as far as possible. In particular, this means prioritising the next generation, increasing accessibility and pioneering in the digital space.

We are so grateful for your gifts. In 2022, over 600 people of all ages committed their lives to Jesus at Spring Harvest. In 2023, the ‘Everyone In’ Fund has supported over 600 people to be at the event who couldn’t otherwise have come. In addition, your giving has enabled us to take the livestream into prisons for the first time.

We will be taking an Offering on Thursday evening. Donations are managed by our friends at Stewardship, which helps us to maximise that income. You can give at any time by the button on the home page or click "give now" below.

Click here to give now at Stewardship

All one-off gifts from April to June are considered part of our event Offering. We believe in generosity and so ten percent of what is raised is given away. We seek (and usually find!) match-funding to double this amount. In 2022, we used the tithe to form a seed fund for transformational community projects. Grants of up to £5000 have been awarded to kickstart projects dreamed up and delivered by Spring Harvest guests in churches and communities around the country. This has included activities for children, young people and families with a range of needs, the provision of meals, support for those with mental health difficulties and connection for those facing loneliness. Thank you for all you have given. We will be sharing some of the stories this week.

We are delighted to be doing this again in 2023 and if you’ve been given a vision by God, you could apply. More details are available here: www.springharvest.org/seedfund

The Team will also be available each evening after The Gathering and The Pursuit celebrations for prayer ministry – look for those wearing a prayer badge.

Watching sessions remotely

Chalet TV has changed – unfortunately the original technology is no longer available. Instead we will relay The Big Tent into the Skyline and livestream to a web page that you can watch on any internet-connected device. Sign in to My Spring Harvest, where you access the event programme, and click on the Big Tent Livestream banner to watch. Butlin's premium wifi will be available free of charge in order for everyone to access this. If you cannot access the stream, come and find us at the My Spring Harvest stand in the Skyline and we will try to help you to find a solution. This year, Premium Wi-Fi should be available free of charge in Skegness in order to use the replacement livestream for the Chalet TV. Unfortunately this does not stretch to the caravans.

Car charging

If you have an electric car, there is a charging point by the maintenance building - primarily for Butlin's work vehicles but they can be used between 9-4 by guests. Just pop to the maintenance desk and speak to the team there to book a slot. They ask for a donation to Great Ormond Street as a 'thank you.'
