"At Spring Harvest we try to maximise the benefit available from the Event for everyone, including those who have a disability. Each year our experience gained by listening to our guests, along with helpful advances in technology, enables us to introduce, develop or improve ways that allow as many as possible to enjoy the full Spring Harvest experience"

Limited mobility
- If you have limited mobility (but do not need an adapted unit) please ask for ground floor accommodation at the time of booking with Butlins.
- Each Butlins site has a few fully adapted units for people with mobility difficulties. If you would like to book one please call 0845 070 4764 for Minehead and 0845 070 4753 for Skegness.
- Most venues at Spring Harvest are wheelchair accessible, some are accessible to wheelchair users with a bit of help; a very few are not accessible to wheelchairs at all.
- We reserve space for wheelchair users in the Big Top - a steward will guide you there.
- Some seats with arms are available in the Big Top for those with mobility difficulties.
Wheelchair and Mobility Scooter hire
Butlins have a limited number of wheelchairs and mobility scooters for hire at the resort (pre-booking advised). For prices, info and booking please call the resort early in 2012 and ask for the Hire Shop:
- Minehead: 01643 703331
- Skegness: 01754 614408
Visually impaired
- Braille and giant print copies of our key books are available for purchase.
- We can provide other information in a range of formats, including PDF, text files, MP3 or CD audio or large print. We can’t guarantee to provide everything everyone asks for, but we’ll try to accommodate your needs as best we can. Please email your requests to joy.townhill@springharvest.org.
- We can reserve seats for a blind person and a friend, in venues where the seating is not fixed as well as remove a seat from the end of a row so a guide dog can lie down. (We are not able to do this in venues where the seating is fixed).
Deaf and Hard-of-hearing
- We work with interpreters from Signs of God to ensure that deaf participants are able to enjoy the programme.
- Induction loops will be used in most of the main venues, including the Big Top.
- A Speech-to-Text service is available at Minehead 2 (5-10 April 2012).
Learning Disabilities
In conjunction with Causeway Prospects we run some special Celebrations, to open up the teaching for those with a learning disability.
- Hosted by Causeway Prospects, Celebrations for adults with learning disabilities will take place at Minehead Week 2 (5 – 10 April 2012).
- Each day’s teaching will be delivered through uncomplicated words, sensitive worship and gentle explanation.

Special Celebrations at Spring Harvest 2011
At Spring Harvest 2011 we celebrated Causeway's involvement with Spring Harvest over the years. Many people were moved by a testimony given by a guest called Lesley. You can see that talk again by clicking here.
We conform as far as possible to the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Acts, but face some restrictions due to the temporary nature of the Event and limitations of the buildings on each Resort.
