Sarah is an artist-maker working across textiles and print. Using appliqué, quilting, and linocut techniques, her practice is inspired by a deepening interest in Celtic monasticism. Beyond the studio, she is a smallholder with a fondness for Herdwick sheep and the restorative pleasures of a good book, mug of coffee and a log fire!
A farmer’s daughter, a Chaplain, a guitarist, and a lover of Dartmoor, Kathryn is most at home in God’s creation. Her artwork is inspired by transformation; much of her practice draws from the Greek word 'Katartizo,' carrying a meaning beyond restoration. She breathes new life into discarded scrap metal, crafting large-scale and functional sculptures that evoke light and memory. Kathryn is currently carrying out study research for her MA which explores the importance of creativity and objects of significance in journeying with grief and remembrance.
